sell.com Partners With Power Media Group Publications, Linking Print Classifieds To Extended Online Listings
Magazines Offer Advertisers Interactive Classifieds Powered by sell.com.
DALLAS, Apr. 2, 2002 - sell.com announced that it will link Power Media Group’s (PMG) print classified advertisements to its web-based classified solution. sell.com’s unique URLs allow PMG’s advertisers the opportunity to link their classifieds to an expanded product web page, where they can showcase their product with detailed text and multiple photos. The April issues of "Texas Technology" and "California Technology" will be the first magazines to offer advertisers the interactive classifieds, with "Illinois Technology" and "Colorado Technology" to follow suit.
PMG advertisers will place print classifieds through an online management interface powered by sell.com (thetechmag.sell.com). Each print classified receives a unique sell.com URL where advertisers can provide product descriptions, multiple photos, and engage in a private negotiation forum with interested buyers. For example, when an advertiser places an ad through thetechmag.sell.com, their ad is assigned a URL, such as sell.com/8KG3. This URL is placed in the print ad, providing interested buyers a means to retrieve additional information about the product.
This partnership is one of several ways sell.com is working to connect print and online classifieds. Publishers interested in using the sell.com engine to power their classifieds can visit: sell.com/print
“We’re excited to facilitate Power Media Group’s classified ads, bridging their print advertisements with our interactive classifieds,” says Darren Dittrich, CEO of sell.com. “Advertisers can now provide buyers with enhanced information, via a short, print-conducive URL.”
“sell.com has built a turn-key solution for advertisers and publishers,” says Ken Gantzer, Director of Marketing and Internet Services for Power Media Group. “With this partnership, our classified advertisers have a comprehensive method for placing ads both in our magazines and online.”
