sell.com Eliminates Transaction Fees and Moves to New Pricing Model
sell.com has recently incorporated many exciting new changes into its flagship internet site. First and foremost, final transaction fees are no longer incurred when sellers complete a sale. In addition, sellers can now join one of several sell.com Premium Membership Levels for discounts on listing fees and promotions. As always, there are no fees of any kind for buyers on sell.com.
The Details
sell.com classified ads run 30 days and cost as little as 60 cents, depending on membership level. Sellers can add text, update photos, and close sales without cost during these 30 days. Picture hosting (up to 9 images) is included with all classified ads. Each sell.com classified ad comes with a unique Classified AdLink (example: sell.com/26RT8). Many sellers reference their AdLink in emails, webpages, signage, and newspaper classifieds.
sell.com guarantees results for our sellers: If for some reason we are unable to bring in a potential buyer in the first 30 days, sellers can re-list their ad for another 30 days at no cost.
For most sellers, the new sell.com pricing model will represent a significant cost savings when compared to other selling venues, such as eBay and Yahoo! Auctions. In the fixed-price classified markets, sell.com remains more cost-effective than Trader or Yahoo! Classifieds, and represents a significant cost savings when compared to local newspapers ads.
Still the same
We're still not an auction site. Our private person-to-person communication forum allows buyers and sellers to cut their best deal on their own time schedule. We still track visitors and click-throughs on each classified ad. We still don't run banner ads or pop-ups from third parties. We're still a privately-held hard-working firm with little overhead. And, it's still free to join.
At sell.com, job number one is bringing sellers and buyers together.
With over 430,000 classified ads posted over the last 2 years, sell.com continues to be one of the most popular classified advertising destinations on the web. sell.com has received numerous Top 10 Hitwise awards, and maintains an Alexa Top 10K position. sell.com classifieds are well-represented on all of the major search engines (Google, Yahoo!, AOL, MSN, AltaVista, Lycos, Ask Jeeves, and more), including product-specific engines like Froogle and Yahoo!Products.
sell.com Classifieds, founded in 1999, is a Dallas-based negotiated commerce solution provider, allowing both businesses and consumers to trade goods and services online. ThinkTank LLC, a SoftBank-affiliated venture capital firm, provided initial funding for sell.com in 2000. For more information, visit: www.sell.com
